Why don't medi's thigh-length medical thrombosis prophylaxis stockings and anti-embolism garments have different lengths?
medi produces the stockings by the so-called two-way stretch knitting technique. This somewhat more complex technology, which is also used for medical compression garments, enables the stocking to stretch along its length without altering the circular pressure (i.e. the medically necessary compression pressure and pressure gradient).
This longitudinal stretch enables us to cater reliably for different leg lengths. Because of this, we do not need to manufacture a range of different stocking lengths, which, in turn, has a decidedly positive effect on expenditure for storage and (laundering) logistics.
