Are those patches of red skin that develop particularly often at the upper cuff allergic reactions?
As a general rule, the redness that develops in the region of the upper cuff (silicone topband) is not an allergic reaction, but rather an irritation of the skin caused by physical forces.
For example, the formation of these so-called tension blisters is favoured by moist skin. This is why the irritation occurs more often in summer than in the colder seasons.
