Acute Lymphoedema decongestion and maintenance for the head and/or neck

The circaid® Reduction Kit for the Head and Neck is an inelastic garment that utilises low-stretch Breathe-O-Prene® material secured with hook and loop enclosures to deliver appropriate compression and provide necessary containment. The garment is custom trimmed to fit by a trained Certified Lymphoedema Therapist to address each patient's fit and treatment needs.

The development of Lymphoedema in the head and neck is common after undergoing surgery or radiation treatment.  The indications of Lymphoedema may occur weeks after a procedure or can trigger years after the initial treatment. Early symptoms include:

  • Tightness in the face, head or neck
  • Difficulties with breathing, eating or swallowing
  • Reduced range of motion in head and neck
  • Swelling and/ or discomfort in the face, head or neck

The treatment of Lymphoedema in the head and neck can depend on the stage or severity level of the patient's condition.
