Lymphoedema treatment for breast cancer patients

Lymphoedema is a common occurrence after breast cancer surgery or radiation treatment. The indications of Lymphoedema may not appear immediately and may trigger many months or years after cancer treatment. The initial indications are swelling in the fingers, arms and chest area. Patients may feel discomfort, aches, and tingling in the affected area.

The reduction kit vest is made from inelastic Breathe-O-Prene® material, delivering dynamic compression with superior containment levels. It is trimmed to the patient’s size and indication by a trained Certified Lymphoedema Therapist in clinic. Hook and loop enclosures are applied to deliver the necessary compression and secure a comfortable fit.

The reduction kit vest is available in two sizes (small and large) and two lengths to create a perfect fit. The use of the circaid® Reduction Kit leads to better patient independence in the long term.

The vest is designed for use in acute drainage phase Lymphoedema management, to contain the results obtained during treatment and for long-term maintenance. Patients will enjoy the liberating nature of an inelastic garment system they can remove for regular hygiene and re-apply themselves without the aid of a caregiver or clinician.
